I enjoyed 20 years as an
illustrator, Graphic Designer and University Design Teacher
in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I won over 40 advertising awards.
It was a lot of fun and I worked with some outstandingly
talented and fun-loving people. Then I moved to Covington,
Louisiana and began a new chapter as a teacher at Saint
Pauls School. I have now retired and decided to go back to
my old love of being an artist. This is how my new
incarnation is going.

November 29, 2023
I decide to do art again. I do a lot of study sketches to
recapture my skill level from 23 years ago. I am a little
rusty, but practice makes better (not yet perfect)
April 2024
I joined the Lacombe art guild and met a bunch of talented
kindred spirits. I did a pastel called "Welcome the rain"
for the spring art show and it won third place. (a seemingly
small thing, but it was my first award in 20 years and it
gave me the confidence to produce 14 more artworks in the
next 6 months).
October 2024
I entered five artworks in the Fall show and won First place
for the Oil painting "Emerson at the pond".
